AVS is a member of the International Association for Volunteer Effort (IAVE), an international organization whose primary aim is to promote, strengthen, and celebrate the development of volunteering worldwide. It holds a volunteer conference every year for exchange, networking, and inspiration about volunteerism across countries and cultures.

The 27th IAVE World Volunteer Conference will take place in Busan, South Korea, this will be the latest global gathering of volunteer experts and practitioners. As the member of IAVE, AVS is going to form a Hong Kong delegation to join the Conference. Details are as follows:

 

Conference Theme	：People Power: Creating a Sustainable Future through Volunteering
Date	：22 to 25 October 2024 (Tuesday to Friday)
Venue	：BPEX Busan Port International Exhibition and Convention Centre
Host	：IAVE & Busan Metropolitan City Volunteer Center

You are cordially invited to be a member of the Hong Kong delegation. The cost per person is estimated at around HK$11,950 (IAVE member) or HK$12,450 (non-IAVE member) for early bird registration by 28 June 2024. The estimated cost includes the Conference registration fee, return flight ticket and shared room accommodation.

 

It would be a valuable opportunity for us to share and exchange ideas with volunteer leaders from across the globe, transcending borders and gaining deeper insights into volunteerism and the development of volunteering in the new age.
