Approved by the Social Welfare Department, the Agency for Volunteer Service (AVS) will hold a Territory-wide Flag Day on 12 July 2025 (Saturday), aiming to raise funds for promoting and developing sustainable volunteerism so as to serve the community. To commemorate the 55th Anniversary of AVS, a limited-edition Gold Flag was specially designed to mark this significant milestone of over half a century in actively advancing and fostering volunteerism!  
 
We earnestly invite you, including but not limited to individuals, organisations, schools, corporations, and chambers, to form volunteer teams to register as street flag selling and online flag selling volunteers, and/or make donations in support of AVS. Let the volunteers spare love and warmth for the underprivileged, and inject more positive energy into the community to build a caring and inclusive society. 
 
We aim to recruit 6,000 volunteers for the street flag sale. We look forward to your participation in spreading love and kindness across Hong Kong.

Become Street Flag Selling Volunteer

 
Both individual and group volunteers can be our “AVS Territory Flag Day” Street Flag Selling Volunteer! 
  • The street flag selling volunteer will be awarded a Certificate of Participation and counted as 4 hours of volunteer service.
  • The volunteer group that mobilises the highest number of volunteers for street and online flag selling will be honoured on the “Most Powerful Team Award” leaderboard and receive a printed certificate (top three teams only). Their names will be featured on the AVS Flag Day webpage, press release, or other publications. 
 
 
Remarks:
Under the terms of the Public Subscription Permit, street flag selling volunteers must meet the following requirements:
  • Volunteers must be over 14 years old, or children under 14 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian; and
  • Holders of a Hong Kong Birth Certificate or a Hong Kong Identity Card (Including their parents or guardians); and 
  • Permitted to participate in volunteering in Hong Kong according to Hong Kong Immigration Ordinance.

Join Online Flag Selling Fundraising Campaign

 
Register as our “Online Flag Selling Volunteer” to share your exclusive E-flag bag with friends and family through email, WhatsApp, WeChat, or other social media platforms. Experience a compassionate journey with us as a volunteer!
 
  • Volunteers who fundraised the highest amount in the E-flag bag will be honoured on the “Top Fundraiser Award” leaderboard and receive a printed certificate (top three volunteers only). And the volunteer group with the highest number of volunteers recruited to be the e-flag bag seller will be honoured on the “Most Powerful Team Award” leaderboard and receive a physical certificate (top three teams only). Their names will be featured on the AVS Flag Day website and other publications.
  • Volunteers who successfully raise funds from a specific number of donors will be awarded a certificate of participation and counted for the corresponding volunteer service hours.
  • For donations of HK$100 or above, a specially designed “AVS 55th Anniversary Gold Flag” will be given and a designated souvenirs for donations over HK$1,000 or HK$2,000 or above.
